Description
K-MG (Potassium- Magnesium Aspartate)
Potassium magnesium aspartate was the first mineral transporter developed in 1957 by Dr. Hans Nieper. This mineral transporter provides the active transport of potassium and magnesium into cells. This is important because sick and injured cells lose potassium and magnesium and develop at the same time dysfunction in their ability to re-uptake potassium and magnesium out of the blood stream. Potassium magnesium aspartate was developed as a delivery system to overcome the impairment that sick cells have in transporting potassium and magnesium back into themselves.
Aspartates are minerals bound to the amino acid aspartic acid. This aspartate transporter delivers the associated mineral (potassium and magnesium) to the inner portion of the cell membrane. Potassium magnesium aspartate plays a key role in activating the formation of energy rich phosphates, especially ATP (adenosine triphosphate), resulting in more energy and more oxygen in the blood and is important in addressing fatigue.
K-MG is one of Dr. Hans Nieper’s formulas that supports the following systems:
1. Cardiovascular System
2. Lymphatic System
3. Digestive System
4. Muscular System
5. Respiratory System
